We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, a proactive thinker, and willing to take on difficult challenges to join our Installation and Services team, as an Installation and Services Project Manager.


The Installation and Services Project Manager will manage the project scope, project schedule, and project costs related to furniture installation projects.

Furthermore, the incumbent assists in the selection, evaluation, training, and supervision of third-party installation companies.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. This includes providing input to sales RFP and tender processes
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Establish and maintain relationships with thirdparty furniture installation companies and negotiate pricing and contracts with them
  • Provide training to installers and customers on Arconas products and ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Coordinate internal resources and thirdparty installers for the flawless execution of furniture seating projects.
  • Ensure that thirdparty installers Health, Safety & Environmental practices, and standards align with Arconas requirements
  • Ability to travel on short notice in North America and abroad to ensure quality installation of our products
  • Coordinates Service Orders with Customer Service, the thirdparty installers, and the client
  • Will troubleshoot installation and service issues and perform basic root cause analysis
  • Ensures strong communication with other departments, to deliver a high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Assist with trade show events, as required
  • Perform other duties assigned by Senior Management
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of training materials, including written and audiovisual formats

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education related to project management, engineering, construction, or a similar background
years' experience in a related role

  • CAPM/PMP designation is an asset
  • Ability to manage a team on an installation site
  • Experience in organizing and managing projects at large government or commercial facilities
  • Understanding of legal framework of institutional/commercial installation contracts
  • A strong mechanical aptitude, along with proficiency in the use of hand tools required in the assembly of Arconas products
  • Must speak English and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders
  • Ability to travel within Canada, USA, and Internationally, mainly short trips (2 to 3 days) once or twice a month, based on operational needs
  • Valid driver's license

Working conditions

  • Working in either an Office or having a home office set up with appropriate internet connections to work efficiently, with managerial approval based on operational needs
  • Occasional plant environment work; inspections, consultations, training
  • Will work offsite in either the client's and/or the thirdparty installer's environment
  • When working offsite, hour
