Team Profile:
Technology Risk's (Tech Risk) mandate is to enable the Firm to manage its technology related risks.

The department executes the first line of defense technology risk management capabilities and implements proactive, comprehensive, and consistent risk management practices across the Firm.


Tech Risk protects the Firm's information, systems, and infrastructure from cyber and insider threats; ensures the secure and stable delivery of services to our clients; and adjusts to risks presented by an evolving threat landscape.

The department delivers a range of operational capabilities, as well as suite of advanced detection, monitoring and analytics, and also provides expert advice on secure design and development and control effectiveness.

Tech Risk manages responses to regulatory and client inquiries about the Firm's technology environment and ensures Technology divisions meet governance and oversight obligations along all lines of defense, driving material and measurable risk reduction.

Tech Risk maintains strategic relationships with external entities, both public and private, to facilitate information sharing and innovation in financial services, technology, and government, and is also responsible for building risk education and security awareness programs to increase vigilance across the Firm.


Position Description:


The Business Continuity Management (BCM) Assessments program was established to perform BCM Assessments to evaluate Third Party supplier's Business Continuity and Technology Resilience framework and controls providing Critical Business Services to the Firm.

BCM Assessments Program is a subgroup of Vendor Risk Assessments group in CDRR (Cyber Data Risk & Resilience) organization within Technology.

BCM conducts assessments of service provider's business continuity and disaster recovery plans, capabilities and testing, including:

  • Review of completed BCM questionnaires as well as reviewing supporting documentation provided by supplier regarding business continuity and disaster recovery

Key activities include:

  • Ensuring BCM assessments are conducted in a timely manner and in accordance with required standards.
  • Collaborating with Technology, Business Units, Suppliers, and Sourcing to evaluate a supplier's business continuity and disaster recovery plans, capabilities and testing.
  • Providing oversight and managing pipeline of reviews performed by the external consultant team.
  • Interpreting and providing guidance on risk and controls.
  • Presenting findings to management as required.
  • Dealing with escalations and managing expectations.
  • Reviewing and updating of key process documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills Required:

In depth knowledge of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Vendor management and thirdparty technology assessments
  • Technology risk and all phases of technology risk assessments
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel with the ability to create reports, analyze data using lookup functions and create pivot tables
  • Motivated selfstarter, with the ability to be proactive and work well as part of a team
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and leverages this to achieve workrelated objectives
  • Dynamic individual with the ability to switch context quickly and work on multiple streams of work concurrently
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail

Skills Desired:

  • Experience and a clear understand of relevant Industry Standards, best practice and certifications (e.g. ISO certifications, SSAE/SOC reports etc.).
  • Professional qualifications from ISACA
  • Experience with Archer GRC tool
  • Strong project management skills
  • Financial industry
