Milton, ON. office where our
Warehouse Picker / Packer will be located.

The Picker / Packer will be an integral part of the daily warehouse activities. The position will be responsible for all listed activities and additional tasks assigned by the Lead Supervisor or Manager.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Picking and Packing: Utilize an RF scanner to pick and pack orders from rack locations and packing tables.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Manual offloading and sorting of containers and palletized goods. Loading and unloading of small package couriers and LTL carriers. RF scanning and stowing of goods into rack locations.
  • Ticketing and Co-Packing: Application of tickets and labels to various items and cartons. Assembly and packing of displays and kit items.
  • Inventory Control: Identify potential inventory issues and perform cycle counts.
  • Perform accuracy audits for picked material and receiving.
  • Sanitation: Basic sanitation duties as needed. Sweeping, mopping, and light cleaning of work areas.
  • Provide guidance and training for new team members.

Key Skills:


  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Functional use of an RF scanner.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and tape gun.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Ability to use/climb ladders
  • Able to meet established KPIs

Desired Skills and Experience:


  • One year of warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of good attendance.
  • Ability to accurately receive directions and communicate challenges.
  • Strong mathematical and problemsolving skills.
  • Previous use of RF scanning equipment.
  • Ability to extend work hours on weekdays and weekends.
  • A desire to learn and build upon previous experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred.

Education and Certifications:

Completion of OSSD or GED equivalent. Knowledge of WHMIS and TDG. Knowledge of OHSA standards. Completion of the MHE certificate is an asset. Warehouse experience preferred.


Minimum Physical and Environmental Requirements:


  • Visual Abilities: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus,
  • Hearing: Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, vendors, and students.
  • Dexterity, Grasping, Feeling: Write, type and use the telephone, copier, and computer systems.
  • Mobility: Operate warehouse machines.
  • Talking: Frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Lifting, Pulling, Pushing: Exert up to 50 pounds for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Predictable attendance on site
  • PPE Provided: Wear masks if unable to social distance, regular cleaning, sanitizing stations.
  • 25 pounds. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Standard climatecontrolled office setting
  • Occasional exposure to open air, warehouse setting

Pay:
$15.50-$19.00 per hour
