The Human Resource Manager, partners with departmental managers to provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and best working practices with regards to employee, performance management, relationship management, employee engagement and organizational change.

As a Human Resource Manager
, you would be responsible for:

  • Implementation of human resource strategies in collaboration with regional and branch team members, including but not limited to succession planning, disciplinary matters, people policies and reward and recognition programs
  • Contributes to both short
- and long-term organizational plans in conjunction with Garda's corporate vision

  • Provides guidance, tracks discipline, and prepares documentation for all incidents
  • Fosters positive working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Works with GardaWorld team members to further develop / enhance program content
  • Ensures the Human Resources Department reviews Human Resources policies, procedures to reflect up to date best practices and employment law
  • Meets regularly with the General Manager, Operations, and reports on departmental performance
  • Manages organizational change regarding Human Resources activities: Restructures, Human Rights, memorandum of agreements, settlement and releases, severance and ensuring compliance with employment law
  • A university degree or college diploma, preferably in human resources, is required or equivalent experience and working towards CPHR designation is an asset
  • 4 to 6 years experience in Human Resources Management
  • Experience in compliance and process management
  • Strong knowledge of current employment legislation both Provincial and Federal
  • Strong relationship management and consulting skills in order to cultivate positive and effective relationships with client groups and key stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be adaptable to change and able to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Drivers license a reliable vehicle is considered an asset to travel to sites when required
