About This Opportunity:
As a key member of the Procurement and Raw Materials Planning team, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for implementing strategic procurement activities in medium to high-potential Indirect Procurement categories, including but not limited to Courier and Parcel Services, Travel, Office Supplies, HR Services, Temporary Labor, Workwear, and other professional services.
The procurement specialist will also manage external supplier relationships within the assigned portfolio while engaging with the wider business stakeholder group within Coke Canada and the Coca-Cola system entities.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with internal stakeholders and ensure that internal purchasing policies are enforced by our internal stakeholders.
- Carry out procurement activities in connection with calls for tenders or sourcing events which will include; preparation and launch of sourcing events, analysis of sourcing events, negotiation with suppliers and contracting.
- Lead, develop and execute category strategies and provide regular updates to key functional and business stakeholders.
- Provide support and guidance to site teams and/or regional procurement teams with respect to overall procurement strategy for the assigned portfolio.
- Act as single point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers new business opportunities and initiatives
- Ensure that contracts are entered in accordance with Coke Canada business requirements and maintained in the Coke Canada contract repository.
- Maintain Catalog prices in
- Identify and lead improvement projects and opportunities to drive increased procurement value addition or productivity.
- Routinely manage suppliers and leverage their capabilities to ensure optimal service delivery in alignment with business or internal stakeholder expectations.
- Own and maintain the portfolio of catalogs within assigned category to drive pricing compliance.
- Stays current with market trends within assigned portfolio and communicates these internally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Physical Sciences.
- 2 years of experience in a procurement; with particular focus on category management as an individual contributor.
- Selfmotivated; ability to execute and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Negotiation/influencing skills with external parties and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytics and proven problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of basic MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint etc)
- Ability to work in a crossfunctional matrix organizational structure.
- Experience in leading/developing collaborative relationships with vendors.
- Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and procurement systems
- Project management experience preferred.
