***To lead the Materials Department to World Class in everything we do. This position is responsible for assisting leadership to manage, direct and coordinate all activities associated with Materials Department. This position will have a centralized focus assisting all plants with critical Materials functions including ECN cut-in definition, PPSO coordination, work order closures, NFI Part Customer Service requirements and other like tasks.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Assist in all areas of Materials Department managing the collection and maintenance of data in relation to KPI's, Metrics and daily operational requirements
  • Assist with coordinating post processing sales orders (PPSO) with the different stakeholder teams within New Flyer/MCI.
Customer Service Representative for MCI to manage all NFI parts incoming orders

  • Assist with streamlining processes to ensure accurate implementation of Engineering Change Orders to released jobs.
  • Assist in the development, communication and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines and tools to ensure success in all processes.
  • Assist with the running of various reports required by Planning and /or Materials
  • Assist with streamlining processes to drive the reduction of inventory adjustments by monitoring reason codes.
  • A centralized resource for the Materials leadership team and actively communicate between all orgs to maintain best practices.
  • Assist with compliance to ISO procedures, work instructions, and promote continuous improvement within the department.
  • Responsible for identifying and training of backups for critical position functions
  • Adhere to safety policies, procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 2-5 years of previous experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Use of Oracle, SharePoint and Excel/Word is essential to this position
  • Analytical skills, multi tasking, team player, ability to work in a fast paced environment and great communicator required
  • APICS certification or currently enrolled in APICS programs is a plus
