Carlsberg Canada recently purchased Waterloo Brewing Ltd.so Carlsberg Canada includes the production, distribution and commercialization of Carlsberg and Waterloo products as well as various co-manufacturing partnerships.
Role Summary
To analyze Canadian commercial market data and provide valuable insights to key stakeholders.
Accountabilities
- Provide regular and timely updates to the business on trends by category (Province, Channel, Segment, Territory, Brand)
- Create insights based on data to support the performance of the Carlsberg Canada portfolio of brands and competitive set that explain the fluctuations in brand performance and market share.
- Understand what elements of the marketing mix are driving results.
- Provide analysis of agreed marketing and promotional activities by province with results and insights into performance
- Ongoing pricing analysis and data collection to ensure CCI pricing strategies are being followed
- Use data to identify new and existing opportunities related to products, packs, brands, formats, etc.
- Support ad hoc requests for insights in brand, pack and category performance at a national and provincial level for the Regional Sales Directors
- Support annual and ongoing strategic plan development leveraging category, brand, and sales insights.
- Use statistical analysis tools and techniques to predict future outcomes related to sales performance and consumer behavior.
- Provide storybuilding and analytical support to the Sales and Trade Marketing teams utilizing consumer and customer insights to drive category growth.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including sales, marketing, finance and product development, to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of postsecondary education (ideally marketing, finance, business)
- 35 years of experience working in a consumer goods organization
- In depth knowledge and proficiency in using statistical analysis tools such as Power BI, MS Suite (specifically Excel)
- Knowledge of and hands on experience with brand health tracking and commercial strategies.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute with excellence.

- Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry is an asset.
