The opportunity
TVO is looking for a highly skilled Digital Analytics Specialist with expertise in web analytics platforms. You will work on a range of TVO properties leading implementations, supporting, optimizing across TVO products.

You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, support product teams with their respective web analytics by planning and performing; measurement strategy, designing, integrating, developing, and validating our analytics data for our web analytics platform.


You will leverage the functionality of technologies such as Google Tag Manager and Firebase to send data through to our web analytics platform and ensure that this new technology is embedded into the business.

For certain products you will ensure the web analytics implementations is tailored and integrates with customer data platform, available platform features are optimally utilized, and implementations are integrated with Google Cloud platform - BigQuery.

In addition, you will oversee the administration, maintenance of our web analytics platforms and ensure the proper implementation of cross-platform and cross-device analytics solutions.

You will also be responsible for creating a data dictionary and support documentation with recommended user and event signals and support in training the internal staff on GA4.


You will be a member of the Data & Analytics team, within the Digital & Innovation division and will report to the Manager, Data Analytics.

You must be proficient in Google Tag Manager with JavaScript (creating events & triggers) and have solid understanding of data layer implementation best practices, approach tasks logically and be capable of explaining pros and cons of potential solutions to relevant parties to ultimately implement the most favorable approach.

Excellent planning, organization, data-driven mindset, problem identification/resolution skills and data analysis skills are critical for success. Familiarity with Hotjar, ability to visualize data and create dashboards/reports, Google Data Studio and other analytics tools is desired.


How you will make an impact

  • Design, develop and support the web analytics instrumentation architecture tagging, tracking, and reporting to support audience development, website engagement, conversions, and site optimizations
  • Audit the current web analytics setup; find efficiencies, minimize page loads, identify gaps in data tracking and develop methods of improvement
  • Collaborate with key technology and business stakeholders to define an optimal tagging strategy for new and existing features
  • Support and optimize TVO's analytics properties keeping integration with customer data platform compatibility forefront and ensure proper features and settings are enabled/disabled
  • Ensure optimal functioning and implementation of all auxiliary features like CMS (Drupal, WordPress), Data Layer, AMP, Native Apps, third party code (Facebook Pixel, Brightcove, Hotjar, Youtube, etc) and enhanced eCommerce (Shopify, Salesforce)
