Marketing Specialist in Mississauga.

Overview


The Marketing Specialist supports the sales and marketing teams through the coordination through to execution of TORLYS product and merchandising launches, programs, and event marketing initiatives.

The Marketing Specialist ensures brand guidelines are consistent and upheld across all marketing initiatives and will contribute to content and creative direction in conjunction with marketing leadership.

The specialist is the point person for TORLYS tradeshow coordinating and execution as well as supporting the development and administration of national accounts and distributor programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Launch Execution:


  • Coordinate the gotomarket tasks as part of the product launch process workflow once the product innovation team set up new items to introduce. This will include organizing the creation, production, and rollout of marketing and merchandising materials through to communication in conjunction with marketing, sales, product innovation, and operations as well as thirdparty manufacturing partners and service providers.
  • Ensure product launch execution activities stay on time and on budget and notify marketing leadership of any risks that arise throughout the process.
  • Obtain approval for purchase orders and track as required.
  • Continuously work to ensure TORLYS has favourable terms, prices, and delivery in conjunction with the marketing leadership.
  • Make recommendations for innovative ways to take our products to marketing and support selling enablement.

Marketing/Branding/Communications

  • Coordinate the creation of all artwork to assure brand continuity across physical and digital platforms.
  • Works closely with the marketing and sales leadership to develop new marketing materials and selling tools (e.g., literature, brochures, sell sheets, signage, banners, and promotional materials etc.) to support growth initiatives and drive revenue in all channels of business.
  • Compose engaging copy tailored to appropriate customer channels as required for various marketing and selling tools and/or presentations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and organization of marketing data on all chosen platforms.
  • Procure promotional items from suppliers, ensuring efficiency and costeffectiveness.

Point of Sale

  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and proactive communication of TORLYS planograms and display contracts.
  • The project lead for merchandising/POS materials including samples and displays from concept to field execution in collaboration with marketing, sales, and operations teams. This includes quoting, issuing purchase orders, budgettracking, and working with third parties for various components (e.g., labels, graphics).
  • Discovery Room Updates (update with new product introductions / discontinuations ongoing daytoday maintenance of showroom remains will sales).
  • Provide back up support to digital marketing to coordinate the TORLYS Display Database/Find A Dealer including regular field audits.
  • Work with sales, marketing, operations, and third parties (as needed) to coordinate approved special customer sample or merchandising requests.

Trade Show/Events

  • Team lead for trade shows and other events (i.e. golf tournaments, charity events, lunch and learns etc.), working closely with sales and marketing leadership to understand, coordinate all requirements while working with third party vendors and other departments for overall project management of trade shows.
  • Participate in the creative concept development and postanalysis for all tradeshows as directed by the marketing leadership.
  • Works with exhibit vendors on booth design and plans/schedules set up and tear down; maintains portable trade show units.
  • Coordinates logĂ­stical planning and support with operations teams, including material return and managing tradeshow/used item inventory.
