Shift Details:

Primarily working Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Some overtime and holidays may be required.

This position is for 30 hours per week.

Courier Services - Administrative Clerk - Courier

This position is primarily responsible for assisting with a variety of administrative and dispatching duties.

Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information)

  • Providing general administrative and clerical support to the work unit including preparing documents, letters and forms
  • Prepare reports as assigned
  • Maintain files, both hard copy and electronic
  • Assist dispatcher and manager with driver dispatch duties
  • Assist with billing functions as assigned
  • Complete other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience

  • High school education or related experience
  • At least 12 years of general administrative / office experience
  • Experience / Education in the supply chain industry (transportation, Customs, logistics, freight forwarding)
Competencies, Working Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent communication, customer service, organization, and problemsolving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Ability to work under pressure (deadline oriented), in a fastpaced environment, with mínimal supervision
  • Selfmotivated, with a willingness to take on additional tasks, as needed
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer, copier, scanner, fax machine
Working Conditions, Mental Effort & Physical Requirements

  • Flexibility to work increased hours, if needed, including working statutory holidays on occasion
  • Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and efficient manner
  • Able to sit for extended period of time while viewing computer screen, answering phones, etc.
  • Able to focus on computer screen and/or written materials for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity required for data entry, sorting, filing, etc.
  • Ability to obtain Police Clearance to meet security requirements
