Clerical Support Associate

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Hourly Rate Range:
$ $26.904

Position Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent reception/customer service, patient processing and maintenance of patient records. This includes registration of patients to the outpatient services as well as booking/editing of patient appointments.
- Maintains/supports all clerical and communication functions in the outpatient services.
- Logging, maintaining and collection of statistics.
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Completed secretarial and medical terminology courses preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Minimum of oneyear full time recent clerical experience required, preferably in an outpatient health care setting.
- Computer skills required, keyboarding 40 wpm required.
- Meditech computer experience is required.
- Communitywide scheduling experience required.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills required, including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload and work with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions, and emergency situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
