Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

$ $26.904

Position Responsibilities:


  • Provides excellent reception/customer service, patient processing and maintenance of patient records. This includes registration of patients to the outpatient services as well as booking/editing of patient appointments.
  • Maintains/supports all clerical and communication functions in the outpatient services.
  • Logging, maintaining and collection of statistics.
  • Other related duties as required

Qualifications:


  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completed secretarial and medical terminology courses preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Minimum of oneyear full time recent clerical experience required, preferably in an outpatient health care setting.
  • Computer skills required, keyboarding 40 wpm required.
  • Meditech computer experience is required.
  • Communitywide scheduling experience required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills required, including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload and work with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions, and emergency situations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
