Skills and Qualifications
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
Post Secondary Education (4 years);
Previous management experience (preferred);
Minimum 5 years of project management experience managing multi-stakeholder, corporate level projects;
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly favored;
Must be highly proficient in MS Office;
Experience with Project Management software considered an asset;
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks/projects in a high pressure environment;
Superior presentation skills to all levels in the organization including executive;
Ability to meet aggressive deadlines while managing daily responsibilities;
Superior communication, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills;
Must possess an understanding of inter-departmental functional relationships;
Self-starting and able to work independently with mínimal supervision;
Willingness and ability to travel;
Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;
Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
Responsibilities:
Assist in definition of project scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders;
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress;
Coordinate risk assessments and coordinate execution of mitigation plans to minimize overall project risk;
Coordinate cross discipline team members and third parties for execution of tasks;
Assign and track accountabilities for project deliverables;
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
Manages changes to project scope, schedule and costs;
Manage competing priorities within and among departments;
Establish communication protocol for monitoring progress and sharing with team and steering;
Manage effective reporting to key project stakeholders, internal and/or external;
Establish process for ensuring quality output;
Ensure all budgetary objectives are met;
Directly support completion of project components as required;
Other related duties as assigned.
