Industrial Mechanic / Millwright

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright at Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Harrow, ON, you will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and production systems to ensure reliable plant performance and a safe work environment. Shift: Rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime
Pay: $35.35 CAD per hour

What You'll Do

• Perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance across plant equipment and systems, including power systems, drives, and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical drives and manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate parts for equipment repairs and installations.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports and ensure work order accuracy in SAP, including parts tracking and closure.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and team members to support production needs.
• Maintain regular, full‑time predictable onsite attendance as an essential function of the role.
• Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment performing maintenance work.
• Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (433A) required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade or technical school diploma preferred (Welding, Blueprint Reading, Hydraulics, Mechanical Training).
• Certified welder (Plate, 3G, or related certifications) preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills with proficiency in industrial equipment maintenance.
• Computer‑literate with experience using SAP or other CMMS systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude with clear and effective communication skills.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights and in various plant environments.

Physical Abilities

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and tools as required.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move for extended periods while performing maintenance tasks.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
