Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Laundry or designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St.

Boniface General Hospital, the LAUNDRY ATTENDANT, CART MAKEUP is responsible for the preparation of linen carts and orders; advising the Supervisor of linen shortages; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):

Grade 10.

Certification/Licensure/Registration:

Not Applicable

Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist and reach constantly throughout the entire shift.
Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs./12 kgs.
Ability to push/pull carts weighing up to approximately 315 lbs./145 kgs.
