We are seeking passionate and dedicated Art Instructors to join our team for the summer camp 2023 at our Newmarket location.

As an Art Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching visual arts to campers, organizing and cleaning up the classrooms after every day of teaching, participating in the training workshop before the camp, and working cooperatively with the other camp instructors and supervisory team to assure the quality of education and safety of the campers.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

This position is for our Newmarket location at Bethel Church Newmarket (333 Davis Dr, Newmarket, ON L3Y 2N6)
Teach Painting and Drawing to the campers.
Organize and clean up the classrooms after every day of teaching.
Participate in the training workshop before the camp.
Work cooperatively with the other camp staff and supervisory team to assure the quality of education and safety of the campers.
Build relationships with all campers by showing compassion, excitement, and understanding.
Take roll call at the beginning and end of everyday sessions
Accompany the campers in outdoor spaces during lunch break.
The schedule is from 9 am to 4 pm.
This position is just for the summer camp (July 3 and September 1)

Key Qualifications:

Hold a degree (Diploma, Bachelor, etc.) in Art preferably in visual arts.
Have at least one year of experience in teaching painting and drawing (an asset).
Fluent in English.
