The position is responsible for the operational management of provincially regulated agri-food inspection services.

This includes scheduling and coordination of inspection services for provincially licensed facilities and establishments, direct supervision of inspection staff, area reporting, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the overall provincially regulated agri-food inspection system.


Job Requirements:


  • Minimum three years of experience in inspection, quality assurance or quality control in the food processing industry.
  • Minimum of one year experience in supervising staff which includes work scheduling, performance management and training new inspectors to assess competency to independently perform duties.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • A degree or diploma in a related field.

Willingness Statement/Provisos:


  • A valid BC driver's license or equivalent with no restrictions. May be required to use own vehicle on an expense paid basis.
  • Work schedules may include overnight travel including working evenings and weekends.
