We are looking for a Quality Technician for a one (1) year contract.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control
A strong background in quality assurance and quality control procedures, including being aware of quality documentation requirements, industry standards, inspection, and testing protocols.

Attention to detail

Ability to inspect packaging to ensure it meets the specifications for the shape, size, and quality to achieve our customers' expectation and satisfaction.

Communication skills

Ability to communicate and collaborate with all departments to ensure the production processes run smoothly.

Critical thinking

Resolves challenges that may arise by being openminded and thinking in an organized and rational matter.

Analytical skills

Works well with the team to identify problems by assessing relevant facts to find a solution.

What you will do as a Quality Technician:

Perform quality testing, in-process and final inspections of finished products to ensure they conform to industry and company standards.
Review supplier COAs, perform quality testing and inspection of raw materials as required.
Coordinate containment/sorting activities and followup to ensure Quarantined products are dispositioned in a timely manner.
Create Quality Alerts and review NCRs and Customer Complaints with the Production team.
Assist with internal & thirdparty quality/food safety audits (ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000)
Coordinate with the Production departments to investigate internal NCRs, determine root cause and identify CAPA
Monitor status report progress of corrective actions, prepare reports and presentations.
Assist the Quality Manager in managing Customer complaints and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented CAPA.
Participate in trials and test runs, validate new products, and conduct process capability studies.
Review process control charts (SPC), collect and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
Review and update QMS documentation (SOP, WI, Standards), Process FMEA, Inspection and Test Plans, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts and Running Line Standards.
Train production employees on QMS documentation, Customer, and Industry requirements
Any other duties assigned by the Quality Manager.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or related field of study.
1 3 years of experience in Plastics, Flexible Packaging or Food Manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, HACCP/GMP/Food Safety Standards
Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma and Quality Tolls
