United Gulf a prominent Nova Scotia developer with a wide range of projects incorporating progressive ideas from mixed-use master-planned communities to urban revitalization projects and multi-unit residential complexes is actively seeking a full-time in-house bookkeeper for our affiliated construction companies.

The position will be the primary bookkeeping role for the day-to-day and periodic tasks of the company, working under the direction and supervision of the Senior Accountant.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience related to:
• AP, AR, Payroll, HST, Remittances and other regular routines
• Bank and GL account reconciliations
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online, Sage and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
• A selfstarter, able to work independently and with mínimal supervision
• Familiarity with the general principles of accounting
• Canadian construction industry bookkeeping
• Produce work with a high level of accuracy

• Tracking and managing financial data,
• Entering financial transactions into various databases,
• Factchecking accounting information
• Balancing and reconciling accounts
• Support the preparation of financial reports
• Establish and maintain charts of accounts
• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
• Update and maintain the general ledger
• Recording of debits and credits
• Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
