Project Manager, Change Management and Transformation


Reporting to the COO, the primary responsibility of the Project Manager, Change Management and Transformation will be to lead and implement change management strategies, communications, and training efforts in support of a large suite of organizational process & client experience improvement initiatives.

Based on structured change methodology, driving adoption, desired ways of working and proficiency with the changes that impact employees within the organization.


Core Change Management Responsibilities

  • Develop change management and stakeholder engagement strategies and related communication plans in support of the transformation initiatives
  • Manage the project plans in support of the business transformation rollout(s)
  • On an ongoing basis, this role will also support, consult, and coach project teams with integrating change management activities into their project plans
  • Manage stakeholders, and build comprehensive stakeholder impact assessments
  • Provide status reporting & presentations to project sponsors and leadership committees
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness, and identify and mitigate resistance to change and adoption
  • Perform initiative issue and risk identification, analyses and develop mitigation tactics
  • Together with the Operational Excellence group develop adoption performance metrics and monitor change progress
  • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities

Core CS/CX Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the improvement of efficiency and quality of service to clients
  • Balance internal business needs with our clients' needs
  • Utilize a clientcentric mentality to drive recommendations to projects
  • Understand the endtoend client journey, become the "gatekeeper" of the endtoend client journey and constantly find ways to improve the experience to our client base
  • Manage various crossfunctional initiatives, including within Marketing Communications division
  • Work in collaboration with the Client Experience Product Manager and other departments to ensure streamlining of client activities and interaction with Mitacs

Skills and Experience:


  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration or related area of study OR equivalent combination of experience and postsecondary education
  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • 5+ years' experience working as a Change Manager, combined with equivalent Project Management expertise
  • Ideally combined with 23 years of project management expertise in support of large, complex multistream initiatives.
  • Has worked with a Project and Product Delivery Office or function and in alignment with the organization's project management methodology and best practices
  • Acute business acumen
  • Proven experience in leading and collaborating with program teams and leadership teams to deliver on business transformation & change initiatives
  • Managed largescale organizational, business transformation efforts with related digital/technology components
  • Has participated and/or collaborated on client servicing, client support or client experience transformation activities
  • A trusted advisor who can engage, consult, and influence across a diverse range of stakeholder groups and provide advice and direction across the organization
  • Experience working with senior leadership and executive level stakeholders
  • Exposure to SDLC and agile delivery methods, with proficiency in Jira, Confluence and/or other collaboration and project tracking solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent teamwork including the ability to effectively engage business leads and their teams, and present and facilitate effecti
