Bayswater Vancouver is looking for an experienced certified ESL Teacher who is also interested in taking on additional administrative responsibilities to support our academic department.

Job Overview


The majority of our teaching is General English, and then we also run speciality 'module' classes in Business, IELTS preparation etc.

and management. Our students are mainly international adults, each looking to study to achieve their own personal goals. Class sizes can be anywhere from 2-16 students.


We are looking for a teacher to teach up to 30, 45-minute lessons per week, and who is also willing to take on extra administrative projects from week to week to support our Director of Studies.


Bayswater teachers are supported with regular check-ins, PD sessions and a robust online platform to support learning and aid in planning.


Requirements:


  • B.A. in a related field
  • TESL Canada certification or its equivalent
  • ESL teaching experience
  • Learner centred focus
  • Collaborative

Salary and Benefits

  • Pay is dependent on experience, qualifications and which course you are teaching:
  • Teaching Hourly rates vary between $21.45 to $24.45 per hour (including prep time) and higher for specialty classes.
  • Administrative duties and meetings are paid at $18.50 per hour
