Looking to take the next step in your career?_**Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated
Junior Rail Operations Modelling and Simulation Specialist** to join the Transit, Operations Modeling and Simulation team in either Markham or Mississauga, ON or Vancouver, BC.

Be responsible for building, amending, and simulating railway network simulation models using industry and best practice standards.
Participate in a variety of rail network analyses, studies, simulation model development or optimization, and technical report generation addressing a wide range of operating, infrastructure and performance improvement.
Perform operational analysis to support the decisionmaking of railway engineering components including trackwork, signaling, rolling stock, timetabling, stabling, etc.
Validate system requirements through operational analysis and rail network planning.
Participate with senior leaders in the establishment of short

- and long-term operating plans.

You bring to the role:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.

years of related experience.

Proficiency with a programming language and the ability to analyze and visualize large dataset are desirable.
Interested in and motivated to learn railway timetabling, operations and simulation software.
Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Must be a good team player
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Selfmotivated and have a strong interest in rail operation.
