- Develop a variety of analytical products using; temporal and spatial analysis, phone and/or GPS analysis, association charts, timelines, predictive analysis, trend analysis, and social network analysis
- Providing strategic analytical products.
- Performing advanced functions in creating intelligence through data collection, collation, analysis, and dissemination process as required.
- Developing and preparing statistical reports and briefings and perform statistical analysis for reporting purposes
- Presenting developed intelligence in professional and public forums.
- Liaising with various law enforcement and correctional agencies for intelligence sharing purposes.
- Managing and maintaining various databases
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills and can work well in dynamic environments.
- Performing offender identification related duties.
- Ability to work with a high degree of independent judgment using sensitive and confidential information
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field of study (ie. Social Sciences or Criminology) with a minimum of two (2) years related working experience.
- Knowledge of analytical methods, statistics and practices.
- Strong research capabilities.
- ArcGIS, iBase and/or Cognos experience will be considered an asset.
- Ability to produce a variety of professional analytical and statistical reports and presentations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in addition to the ability to work well in a team environment.
- As part of your prehire screening you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.
