    Barta Beti Holding Ltd., dba Nova Safe (business address 808 6th Avenue, Beaverlodge, AB) is seeking a Carpenter. It's a full-time hours per week), permanent position, $36.00/hour paid on a bi-weekly basis.

    Overtime 1.5 times the regular wage paid if the daily hours exceed 8 hours or the weekly hours exceed 44 hours.

    Two weeks of paid vacation each year.

    Location of employment:
    Grande Prairie and the surrounding area, with a radius of 300km

    As soon as possible


    Job duties:

    • Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plan to prepare landscape project layout and determine dimensions and materials required;
    • Construct decks, garden walls, walkways, stairs, fountains and waterfalls, retaining walls and BBQ stations, frame houses, renovate interiors.
    • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures;
    • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue;
    • Assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials;
    • Measure, cut, or shape wood and other materials;
    • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge;
    • Install, repair, and/or renovate structures and fixtures using carpenter's hand and power tools;
    • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment;
    • Complete daily paperwork tracking job time and material costs;

    Requirements:

    • Must have completed high school;
    • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving history;
    • Must have at least two years of work experience as a Carpenter or a combination of experience and education/on-job-training;
    • Manual dexterity is a must;
    • The position is physically very demanding;
    • Must be able to work under minimum supervision;
    • Must have an attention to details;
    • Must be able to work under pressure of tight deadlines; at heights, in confined, noisy, and/or dusty spaces;
    • Must be able to handle heavy loads
    • Must have excellent problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizing skills;
    • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
    • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
