We are constantly growing and currently looking for skilled applicants to join the team as a
Production Assistant

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create work orders for stock parts and projects at the direction on the manager
  • Create dwg and nesting files for plate processing and forming
  • Create and process purchase orders
  • Fill out production drawings with relevant information and release to manufacturing depts
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to order required parts for manufacturing
  • Complete work orders and adjust parts into inventory
  • Create CAD models of parts based on a real life customer model or PDF drawings
  • Work directly with production team to capture necessary drawing revisions
  • Work with engineering team to release drawings to production for new design projects
  • Perform hands on inspections of parts and assemblies to confirm they have been fabricated as per drawing using various pieces of measuring equipment
  • Inspect parts and assemblies to confirm welds are as per drawing and adhere to regulatory standards
  • Assist in document control inspections to confirm ISO procedures are being adhered to

General Qualifications:


  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Legible handwriting
- familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Familiar with Solidworks and auto Cad

Education
- post-secondary education in mechanical engineering; technologist or degree program student

This position is full time:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
