    POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Business Partner administers human resources programs and policies including those involving staffing, compensation, benefits, immigration, employee relations, training, and health and safety. This position ensures that human resources strategies align with organizational business goals; and supervises human resources processes to ensure efficient operations for the organization.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Supervise and develop Team Members by monitoring performance and providing feedback; teaching, supporting and modeling company policies and procedures; identifying training and development needs; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of Team Members;
    • Ensure effective HR review, succession planning, and development of the leadership pipeline for each district;
    • Partner with Store Directors on the selection and development of Assistant Store Directors;
    • Manage and respond to employee relations issues and conduct case investigations in a timely manner;
    • Ensure store leadership is current on state-mandated Harassment Prevention Training;
    • Process EDD claims and attend hearings as needed;
    • Collaborate on internal I-9 audits;
    • Provide partnership and counsel on all Team Member discipline requests;
    • Serve as a first responder for labor, workplace violence, and other similar events and partnering with various internal teams to determine next steps and ensure final resolution;
    • Initiate and conduct the interactive process with Team Members consistent with ADA/FEHA principles;
    • Present and coordinate trainings as needed for new store leadership;
    • Coordinate in-store job fairs and lead efforts in new store staffing to support successful store openings;
    • Consistent visitation of stores to establish strong HR visibility and maintain Team Member trust;
    • Ensure effective use of Company recognition and communication processes;
    • Take leadership role in the execution of organizational change initiatives impacting districts and stores.
    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
    * 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources;

    • Working knowledge of HR/Employment laws and regulations;
    • Effective time management and organizational skills;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Strong MS Office skills; previous experience with HRIS/ATS systems helpful;
    • Bilingual: Spanish and English preferred.
