    The Role

    Reporting to the Manager, Information Security Risk & Compliance, the Security Engineer, Data Privacy will contribute to the company's regulatory compliance activities and Security Risk Management. The role will be responsible for monitoring and closing information security issues while also ensuring that internal and external systems are compliant with security standards and policies. The role will work closely with our teams across the business to understand security risks and ensure alignment in meeting control objectives.

    What You'll Do:

    • Develop and implement a data protection framework that aligns with relevant regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
    • Evaluate encryption and anonymization techniques to protect sensitive data. Evaluate encryption mechanisms for data storage, transmission, and backups, ensuring the confidentiality of personal information.
    • Monitor, identify, and validate security events generated from internal SIEM and feeding subsystems such as Palo Alto firewalls, Sophos Security, AD logs, Office365, AWS with a focus on O365 security controls.
    • Work with the security team and as a member of the IT team, provide first and second level security support and ensure cybersecurity best practices.
    • Respond to critical business-impacting situations and coordinate the efforts required to engage the proper resources to remediate the issue.

    What You'll Bring:

    • Working experience in Information Security privacy and compliance, incident response, and data breach management.
    • Experience with Information Security standards and frameworks.
    • Know the fundamentals of IT security, hardening practices, and security management tools.
    • Understanding of information security standards such as PCI, ISO-27001, and NIST.
    • Understand AD, LDAP, Radius, DHCP, DNS
    • Knowledge in key areas such as: Firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, Remote Access, Security Logging, Vulnerability Management, Security Incident Response.
