Advanced Cyclotron Systems is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team.

The Mechanical Technician is involved with all aspects of fine assembly, relating to electro-mechanical equipment, including installation, fault-finding, troubleshooting and other related duties.


We are a relatively small team who work closely to get the job done on time, so an individual who is collaborative and a quick learner will be a great asset.

KEY DUTIES

  • Play a key role in hands on manufacturing, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Responsible for following detailed engineering mechanical drawings for the fabrication and assembly of mechanical parts, assemblies, drilling, Swagelok tube assemblies, pipe routing including PVC parts assembly, power and hand tools.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to the design team for manufacturability and assist with improvement of design and manufacturing
  • Strong results orientation, skilled with standard Microsoft office software.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical circuitry is an asset
  • Analyze information and solve technical problems through precision and accuracy
  • Coordinates with other team members to assemble, test, and modify electrical/mechanical systems to improve lead time and functionality
  • Interact with ERP systems
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Ability to assemble delicate components with a high degree of precision
  • Well organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity
  • Graduate from BCIT or equivalent, preferably in mechanical area
  • Certificate or Diploma of Technology

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current priorities
  • Travel to customer sites is required, a valid passport, ability to travel internationally
  • Some work is conducted in a machine shop where safety equipment such as safety glasses and safety footwear must be worn
  • Casual warehouse type environment
