You have experience working on an Account Management team in CPG.

Previous experience as a category advisor and experience working with Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart or Walmart would be considered assets.

Your Responsibilities

Business Analysis

  • You will complete regular analysis of retailer P.O.S. data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • You will work with our sales teams on Business Planning with assigned retailers
  • You will design and implement analyses to measure and test new programs, products or merchandising
  • You will plan, design and deliver category reviews with sales teams
  • You will monitor KPI's including sales, margin, fair share indices and space allocation
  • You will create weekly dashboards to monitor sales results for assigned retailers
  • You will provide adhoc analysis as required to answer business questions
  • You will provide a deep dive into seasonal performance after key seasons
  • You will work with the sales team to present results to our valued retailer partners

Category Management

  • You will act as a holistic category consultant delivering actionable insights to sales, product management and chain buying teams
  • You will proactively offer insights to stakeholders by creating clear, compelling stories, using knowledge of the business, utilizing visualization tools and clearly written text to support your conclusions. Your effective and polished presentation skills will help communicate your insights to our retail customers
  • You will play an active role in influencing business decisions based on your analytical skills including sales results, market dynamics and category share. You will be an extension of our sales team and your insights will grow sales
  • You will liaison with Product and Sales teams to deliver the best product assortments for the Canadian market
  • You will develop a collaborative category management approach and gotomarket strategy
  • You will monitor the Canadian retail landscape to keep abreast of current trends and market conditions
  • You will provide analytical support and insights to our Product Management teams to aid in design selection and optimizing planograms for our retailers
  • You will synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources and interpret appropriate information to distribute
  • You will support our Marketing teams with promotional analysis and loyalty information

Your Required Skills & Competencies

  • You thrive in a hybrid working model and appreciate the benefit that both inoffice and remote work brings to your career development. You understand that flexibility is a key to success and are open to hybrid working adjustments as business needs change.
  • University degree in business, marketing or a related field. Category Management designation and understanding of CatMan 2.0 initiatives would be an asset
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and exceptional analytical skills
  • 35 years category management/ insights experience for a CPG company or within the buying functions of a key retailer. Experience as a category advisor with a CPG company would be an asset
  • Expert proficiency working with MS Office, and a high level of data base and spreadsheet development skills including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Cognos 11, S.A.S. Enterprise packages would be considered an asset
  • Exceptional presentation skills both written and oral
  • Welldeveloped interper
