ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensures logistics of registration, including completion and filing of registration forms and/or medical reports. Responds to phone calls and inperson inquiries of exercise classes.
  • Performs administrative duties (using MS Word, Excel), including but not limited to maintaining client files both in hardcopy and CIMS. Completes bulk entries of clients' attendance in programs, if applicable.
  • Assists with set up including preparing the physical space for classes. Records the attendance of clients via hand scanner or attendance sheet.
  • Promotes exercise classes via flyers, telephone call and inperson conversations. Works in collaboration with the Assisted Living Services staff, Recreational Therapist, Toronto Housing personnel and other partners to determine the needs of the clients and the current gaps.
  • Monitors clients' physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and progress. Documents and informs Manager of incidents.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area, as well as preserves condition of equipment used.
  • Sanitizes all equipment after exercise facilitation. Completes and submits order form(s) for authorization to have equipment and supplies replaced as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required. Attends agency staff meetings. Documents H&S hazards. Attends training as required. Maintains knowledge, observes, practices and enforces appropriate procedures in regard to Fire, Safety, Quality and environmental standards. Performs other duties as required. Travels between agency sites.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Education in a fitnessoriented program. A degree in Kinesiology is ideal.
  • Experience working with the elderly population is an asset
  • Background related to exercise facility is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle is strongly urged.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police check required completed within last 12 months is required.
  • This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID19 and you must provide Lumacare with proof of vaccination prior to employment.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
$17.94-$20.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
