We are looking for a
Junior Data Analyst Co-op to join our team for a
4-month term starting September 2023

Position Summary:

This is a great opportunity for a co-op student to gain industry experience within data analytics.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Junior Data Analyst will assist the Application System Analyst by working with D365 Business Central to pull information from the database to create ad hoc reports and utilize with data analytics software such as Power BI and SQL.

As the Junior Data Analyst you will develop your skills as a database analyst and architect.

Typical day as a Junior Data Analyst:

Collect data and prepare monthly metrics.
Create ad hoc and report templates in the ERP system (and other internal systems to Microsoft Dynamics Power BI) and run the reports.
Collaborate with department head's to help with their individual reporting needs.
Consolidate and connect various systems to create an integrated reporting database and connect to the company's reporting tool Microsoft Dynamics Power BI.

Skills Required:

Ability to analyze datasets.
High attention to detail.
Ability to write and design comprehensive reports.

Preferred Technical Skills:

Experience with an ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics, Netsuite, SAP, Sage etc.)
Handson experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
Working knowledge of data analytics software such as Power BI and SQL and the ability to transform and visualize data is an asset.
Experience using database systems such as MySQL
Experience using data visualization tools (Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)

Education and Experience:

Enrolled in a coop program completing a University Degree in Big Data or related field.
Has completed 12 coops or internships in Database Analysis.
