Dream is looking for a Site Coordinator (12 Month Contract)
We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving community.

Dream's Office REIT Construction Team is currently looking for a Site Coordinator responsible for focusing on major building renovations, Landlord's and Tenant's work and related projects.

This includes managing multiple construction projects from initiation to successful completion and meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.


What will you be doing in this role?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

  • Report to the Director of Construction Dream Office Management Corp.
  • Confirm that all Safety Regulations are being followed. Confirm that the required safety materials are on site, that all site personnel have their Safety Certifications, are working in accordance with the Regulations, and Dream's Safety Policy, and are trained for their work. Maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other Regulations.
  • Attend at sites, supervise projects, and prepare site reports and documentation
  • Manage all construction related activities to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This can include interfacing with tenants, property management and leasing teams, consultants, subcontractors, security, etc.
  • Oversee tenant work in accordance with the Lease from the onset through to completion. This may include; review of tenant drawings, permits and other documentation; attend site meetings with tenant and contractors; monitor completion of Tenant construction activities; sign off on project completion.
  • Work in partnership with Construction project managers during the construction process.
  • Work closely with property managers and liaise with construction trades and contractors during the construction process.
  • Develop strong working relationships with all disciplines within the organization.
  • Travel to locations within the GTA as required, depending on business needs; and
  • Work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures and other duties as assigned.

What type of experience should you have?
These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

  • Construction Safety Certifications including; Basics of Supervising, WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid & CPRC, and others. If you do not currently possess one or more of these certifications, you will be required to successfully complete courses provided to achieve them.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction and or Operations, preferably in Core class A and B commercial office buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, practices, procedures and building codes as well as contract and procurement documents. Estimating and construction costing is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate multiple tasks and projects while ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate clearly with internal and external contacts.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven trade record of seeing multiple concurrent projects through from inception to completion.
  • Willingness to learn on new protocols in a complex and demanding environment.
