LOCATION:
Innisfil, ON


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily Office - Some Warehouse


TYPE:
Full-Time; Monday-Friday (day shift)


SUMMARY:


The Inventory Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring products are readily available to meet customer requirements across the markets we serve.

This includes monitoring stock levels, coordinating with various departments to forecast demand, implementing efficient tracking systems, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

The role involves analyzing data to identify trends, managing relationships with suppliers, and leading a team to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:


_ Education/ Certification:
_


  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Business, a related program or equivalent experience with a specialty in Supply Chain management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.

_Experience:
_


  • 5+ years' experience in an Inventory Manager position or a related Management role.
  • Advanced experience using inventory management systems.
  • Advanced experience using internet research tools.
  • Experience dealing with US/International Customs considered an asset.
  • Previous exposure to a heavy equipment or dealership environment is an asset.
  • Previous exposure to CDK operating system is an asset.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Analyze inventory daily, weekly, monthly and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Provide leadership, coaching mentoring and training while supervising and coordinating activities of direct reports.
  • Develop any potential business development and/or customer service opportunities to maximize market growth.
  • Manage inventory documentation: accurately record the quantity, type, value of materials, style and any other applicable term assigned.
  • Organize and lead inventory counts, investigate, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Assess product return policies for all vendors and ensure optimal return practices are in place at the branch level.
  • Partner with the Parts department to ensure effective processes and strong communication.
  • Address inventory issues/customer issues directly.
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Understand and maintain existing vendor agreements and negotiate new vendor agreements in conjunction with the Sr. Manager Parts Operations.
  • Ascertain that all company safety and risk management procedures (pertaining to inventory control) are followed.
  • Assist with projecting inventory levels over time based on product demand, inventory on hand, and external factors.
