triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking an
Employment Specialist to join the team at the
Toronto Southwest campus.

Primary Purpose:

The main purpose of the Employment Specialist is to successfully place triOS domestic and international students into internships in the industry related to their training through business development activities; and to provide domestic and international students with the knowledge and support to successfully complete their internship.

The Employment Specialist will also be responsible for placing triOS domestic and international graduates into jobs in the industry related to their training through business development activities; and to provide domestic and international students with the knowledge and skills to conduct an independent job search to secure employment.

The Employment Specialist will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness; embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively contact corporate employers to source out leads for job/internship opportunities and possible oncampus visits to speak to students.
Contact businesses to promote triOS graduates, events and understanding market trends.
Conduct corporate presentations to organize on triOS and triOS graduates.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships through frequent followup contact to course out leads for internships.
Develop relationships with employers to review and support programs for approval submission to Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
Deliver new student orientation as per schedule.
Deliver one hour inclass Employment Ready workshops for the students setting out goals, objectives, directives and expectations.
Meet job placement and internship targets as defined by Management.
Work with Marketing to develop student success stories, graduate profiles, and graduate/employer references.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Business or Career Development.
Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience in recruitment (proven experience with placements), and or business development.
Demonstrated three (3) years of experience training/teaching adults in career management and employment facilitation and one to one counseling.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of employment search techniques, career management competencies, training needs analysis, and onetoone counseling techniques.
Labour market trends and information.
Superior organizational and problemsolving skills.

Location of Work:

Toronto Southwest campus located at
Bloor and Dundas West.

Hours of Work:

This is a hybrid full-time position. Hours of work will be
10 AM - 7 PM, Monday to Friday.

Start Date:

The scheduled start for this opportunity is
June 1, 2023.
