Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the production of all meals and catering services as listed on weekly menu under the guidance of a diet manager
Ensure that the appropriate temperature of the foods is maintained at meal time
Prepare purchase orders and receives the requisitioned food and supplies.
Put away food deliveries and assist staff with their outlined job routine
Maintain food inventory records and follow Quality Management Plan
Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of all kitchen cookware and tools
Follows departmental policies and procedures for quality control, infection control, fire safety, and environmental protection.
And any other duties assigned from time to time

Requirements:

Have entered into a registered training agreement OR successfully completed an apprenticeship program in the trade of Cook, Institutional Cook or Assistant Cook
Previous experience as Cook/Line Cook, preferably in LTCH
Ability to understand instructions in English clearly. Ability to speak and understand "Mandarin" is preferred.
Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.

Job Types:

Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour
