WEST GATE SOCIAL - LINE COOK
West Gate Social is Wyckham House's counter-service lounge and social space. We are seeking experienced kitchen help for all shifts. Compensation begins at $17/h plus tip out.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare ingredients, cook and plate menu items accurately and efficiently.
- Set up cooking stations with necessary equipment.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient operation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Conduct routine quality checks on food items.
- Assist in other kitchen duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year of fastpaced and demanding cooking experience.
- Basic food safety training; a recognized food safety training course is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detailoriented and committed to cleanliness.
- Excellent timemanagement and multitasking skills.
- ProServe and ProTect certification an asset.
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
West Gate Social's regular operation hours are 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
