JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the major business/operational functions of the corporate stores including budgetary and inventory control, staff supervision, implementation of Company Store Business Plan
- Conduct month end functions inclusive of understanding reports, and physical inventory counts
- Implement inventory management tactics inclusive of instore specials, manager specials and product incentives
- Model, coach and execute high level of customer service.
- Training provided to become firstcall contact for store alarm situations
- Schedule staff hours with a goal of appropriate store coverage, utilizing preapproved budgets.
- Provide necessary training and ongoing support to Meal Advisors in the areas of product knowledge and sales techniques. Become the expert in utilizing M&Mproven systems and tools.
- Computer proficiency in point of sale, Outlook, Microsoft Office programs
- Promote the store location as a brand ambassador, inclusive of investigating advertising and fundraising opportunities.
- Ability to foster a team environment, team commitment and create a positive work environment
- Must work varying shifts, balanced between holidays, evenings and weekends. Be flexible, on occasion to cover any scheduled shift.
- Full responsibility for daily balancing, occasionally including deposit/coin runs to the bank.
- Physically fit as the job requires standing for extended periods of time, working in a freezer environment, must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Dependable, friendly and engaging with excellent communication skills
- WHMIS, Food safe handling and First Aid/CPR certificates
- Completion of our online SmarterU Certification Program
- Model positive customer service behaviours from the Customer Experience Map training. Conduct Coaching & Evaluation Checklists, as well as Meal Advisor Performance Reviews.
- Utilize POS management reports for effective decision making, with regards to gross margin and average sale.
- Other duties as assigned
THE PERSON:
- Ability to hire, train, mentor and support a team of employees
- Superior customer service, people and listening skills
- Strong business building, brand marketing and sales experience
- Track record in managing expenses, inventory and people
- Retail management and sales experience an asset
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Is comfortable using MS Office software and Point of Sale system
- Enjoys building a friendly, respectful rapport with employees and customers
- Actively takes initiative and completes tasks with mínimal supervision
- Can lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Can stand for extended periods and work in a freezer environment
