The Business Center Lead is a driving force of the Marketing Operations - Toronto team at VML MAP and is responsible for overseeing the operations of our Toronto location.

The Center Lead plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient delivery of our services. This opportunity is key in spearheading strategic initiatives, leading a dedicated team and identifying comprehensive solutions towards operational improvement.


What Will Your Day Look Like?

  • Business and Administration Oversight
  • Streamline processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage resource allocation, including staff, budget, and equipment.
  • Make decisions on budget management, targets and consistency of services and processes.
  • Develop thought leadership around operations and build on new and existing best practices for continued improvement.
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Assist in recruiting, training and mentoring employees to maximize their potential.
  • Work with other center and global business operations leads to advise on client engagement and development of capabilities.
  • Strategic Planning
  • Develop and implement a strategy for the center that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Reporting
  • Prepare regular reports on the center's performance and outcomes, including but not limited to P&L reports, targets and other performance metrics.

What Do You Bring to the Table?

  • 5+ years of proven leadership experience in a managerial and supervisory role.
  • Experience working with crossfunctional and specialized teams, delegating tasks and assuming responsibility for outcomes.
  • Experience leading large teams, and motivating groups towards improvements.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in leadership role; training and developing teams to meet measurable objectives and key goals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of market and industry trends within marketing automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Education or training in Business Administration, Project Management or Operations.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
