- Identify the different types of valves (globe valve, gate valve, butterfly valve) and perform disassembly and assembly of valve components;
- Perform polishing and grinding of valve discs;
- Perform cleaning and marking of parts and identify the types of seals to be used;
- Participate in the assembly of connections on the ship (fire line and seawage);
- Operate a chain hoist;
- Perform air test before starting work in a confined space;
- Implement various plumbing techniques (welding, tracing, cutting, bending, gluing, etc.);
- Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
- Diploma of vocational studies in plumbing and heating or equivalent experience (asset);
- Knowledge of plumbing and tools;
- Ability to work in confined space, at height or outdoors;
- Ability to read and interpret plans;
- Resourceful and versatile;
- Team player.
