Description

Responsible for assisting the Behavioral Support Consultants in the following duties; classroom observation, residential behavioral intervention, data collection; training staff to implement interim behavior protocols and behavior intervention plans; and treatment integrity monitoring.

Each individual also may be assigned to one or more special projects including administrative and organization tasks associated with these assignments (e.g., crisis intervention training).

The Behavioral Support Technicians are expected to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position. Behaviour support technician would be able to work with all vulnerable sectors with the supervision of the supervisor.


Qualifications:


  • Ideal applicants should have experience working with children and/or adolescents
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain good working relationships with families and other professionals
  • Knowledge of developmental and intellectual disabilities
  • Good Time-Management skills
  • Enjoy working with kids
  • Job specific training is provided

Educational Requirement:


  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in the residential sector or school settings
  • College Diploma in child and youth worker (CYW) social care
  • CPR Qualification
  • Safety care
  • Educational assistance
