As a Contract Faculty member you will play a key role by promoting academic excellence, developing an effective learning environment, and designing, teaching, revising and updating curriculum.

Your previous working experiences will provide a broad range of practical knowledge to enhance the student learning experience.

Contract Faculty may teach in teams or independently and develop/deliver curriculum in a variety of ways including face-to-face (lectures, seminars, labs) and online.


We are currently recruiting contract faculty to teach in our Personal Support Worker, Practical Nursing, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.

What We Are Looking For:


  • Minimum of a Diploma in Practical Nursing to instruct in the Personal Support Worker Program.
  • Minimum of a BScN (Masters of Nursing or related science is an asset) to instruct in the PN or BScN program.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (copies of this and all relevant certifications are required).
  • Five years of relevant and recent clinical experience in one or more of the following speciality areas:
  • Long Term Care
  • Community Nursing
  • Medical (low and high acuity)
  • Surgical (low and high acuity)
  • Palliative
  • Mental Health
  • Maternal Child
  • Prior clinical teaching experience is a definite asset.
  • Uptodate CPR, First Aid, mask fit testing, criminal record check & immunizations.
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Familiarity with adult education principles and alternate delivery modalities.
  • The ability to engage and understand all elements of clinical courses to support students in achieving learning outcomes.
  • The role requires selfmotivation, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and in a teambased environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deliver and receive feedback, as well as welldeveloped critical thinking/problem solving and organizational / time management skills are required.
  • A commitment to lifelong learning as a dual professional, fostering relationships and connections while providing accessible, superior service to students.

Salary Range
As per the part-time, partial load or sessional salary grid
