- Produce Signal & Communication (S&C) signal system circuit designs, drawings and test plans ensuring compliance with all applicable operating rules, recommended design practices, design policies, design standards and regulatory requirements
- Produce detailed Bill of Material lists to enable the procurement of all equipment required to implement all specific designs and ensures the material is ordered
- Provide technical expertise in the area of signal design during the commissioning of projects
- Operate S&C CAD system to produce, review, and modify signal system designs
- Ensure compliance with FRA and Transport Canada regulations
- Manage and track documents and files checked in and out of the plan database OpenText
- Post Secondary diploma in Electronic Technology preferred
- 1-5 year(s) of previous railway experience preferred
- Drafting experience (AutoCAD preferred)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To produce S&C signal system circuit designs, drawings and test plans ensuring compliance with applicable operating rules, recommended design practices, design policies, design standards and regulatory requirements. Areas of responsibility include wayside signal systems, PTC, wayside detection systems, crossing warning systems, hump yard process control systems and AEI equipment and systems.
