Group Customer Technology is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Project Delivery to join our team.

Reporting to the Director, Technology Solutions, Group Life and Health, you will be responsible to lead and manage a portfolio of projects and work packages.


What you will do

  • Manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects and work packages driven by business and strategic demand, ensuring the appropriate resources are assigned, methodologies are followed, and delivery is successful.
  • Leading implementation of Technology solutions that support the Group Life and Health teams and the overall Group Customer Strategy
  • Builds and maintains relationships with business and technology leaders, establishing a high level of trust and credibility to ensure work is delivered to agreed scope, budget, and quality, finding winwin opportunities to resolve issues and move the work forward.
  • In collaboration with the Portfolio Director and PMO, develop a standardized set of templates, reports, estimate calculators, dashboards, estimate breakdowns and presentations that can be used consistently across the portfolio.
  • Portfolio resource and capacity planning, providing short to long term resource forecasts, utilizing resources with the appropriate skillsets, ensuring resource pools are sized correctly with the right mix of permanent and contract resources aligned with budget and works across the Global Corporate Technology leadership teams to plan and secure resources.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, using metrics to make decisions on managing and forecasting spend throughout the year.
  • Manage and coach a team of Project professionals, including staff and contingent labour
  • Supporting ongoing development and learning of your team, taking a continuous improvement approach to implement their ideas and recommendations on ways to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all team members have performance objectives and a personal development plan, ensuring team maintain certifications and/or accreditations.
  • Provide continuous feedback and/or coaching to all staff

What you will bring

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience as a Technology Delivery Leader in a DevOps, Agile organization within the financial services or insurance industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience directly and indirectly managing teams of senior level professionals including staff and contingent labour
  • PMP certification, change management, and financial education is desirable
  • Strong flexibility, resiliency, and adaptability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare communications and interact effectively with all levels, technical and nontechnical within the organization.
  • Expert multitasker, juggling priorities and working in a fast paced/ demanding environment.
  • Demonstrates objectivity, putting organizational direction ahead of their own interests/agendas
  • Encourages innovation, thinks outside boundaries and apparent limitations
  • Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility
