    Fitters are responsible for assembly, fitting, installation, and fabrication of metal components for various structures and products.

    Assembles and fits metal section and plates to form complete units or subunits using tack welding, bolting, or other methods.

    Conducts housekeeping and general cleanup.
    Ensures that all non-conformances are reported and that the shop, where applicable, maintains the integrity of quality standards.
    Reports personal injuries, no matter how minor, and obtains medical attention as required.

    Must be a registered apprentice, an Alberta-certified journeyperson, hold a valid recognized credential, or possess the skills and knowledge expected of a Journeyperson.

    Basic Rigging Course an asset
    FLHA Training an asset
    Certified Overhead Crane Operator an asset
    carrying objects, driving and being exposed to normal office routines.
    The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing andanalyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal for extended periods of time;
