Within the context of the Internal Audit Department Charter, will be responsible for allocated responsibility with respect to a variety of
complex information system assurance and consulting engagements. These engagements are defined to assess the extent to
which management control systems are designed, implemented and maintained to efficiently and effectively support the
achievement of intended business results.


_ Responsibilities:
_


  • Planning, development and execution of detailed audit programs designed to evaluate and test management systems and
controls in a manner that is compliant with applicable professional auditing standards.

  • Managing audit work assigned including coordinating and scheduling both internal and external staff in a manner consistent
with the requirements of the audit section and the auditee.

  • Supervise junior audit staff where assigned AuditorinCharge responsibilities.
  • Participate in the review and assessment of work performed by junior audit staff.
  • Liaise with senior and departmental management in disclosing the results of the preliminary assessment, outlining the scope
and criteria determined appropriate for inclusion in the audit plan, resolving audit issues as they arise over the course of an
audit and obtaining action plans and management responses to address audit findings.

  • Provide professional oral and written reports and presentations to all levels of management including the auditee, and
management committees as may be appropriate in the circumstances.

  • May serve as the Internal Audit representative on internal or external task forces or committees and perform detailed
administrative and technical assignments for these projects.

  • Establish cooperative relationships with all areas of the corporation, other utilities and external agencies.
  • Keep abreast of emerging tools and techniques in information technology audit practices via professional development
opportunities available through both corporate and external sources.


_ Qualifications:
_


  • A four year computer science degree from a recognized university with a minimum of five years of information security or
compliance/audit experience.
OR

  • A two year diploma in Computer Technology from a recognized college with a minimum of seven years of information security
or compliance/audit experience.
OR

  • A Chartered Professional Accountant designation with a minimum of four years of information security or compliance/audit
experience.

  • Completion of one of the following programs: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems

Reference Code:

  • Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
  • An indepth understanding of and working experience with computing and network infrastructure.
- system and network infrastructure levels.
  • Working experience with SAP and ACL would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated high degree of initiative reflected in an ability to work independently and with the ability to provide authoritative

- recommendations.
  • Product Suite particularly excel, word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare reports and present

- recommendations.
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and moral obligation as reflected in the ability to handle confidential data with discretion
- and to convey a genuine respect and adherence to the Institute of Internal Auditor's professional Code of Ethics.
  • Possess a valid Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence and be prepared to travel as required.

_ Salary Range_
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $39.84-$54.98 Hourly,
$76,350.04-$105,352.52 Annually.
