    Description

    Groupe Alphard is seeking a Department Director to lead its growing mechanical team at our offices in Montréal, Brossard, Québec City, Trois-Rivières, or Saguenay.

    You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders involved in project implementation and provide support to your team.

    This position offers you the opportunity to exercise your leadership in personnel and industrial project management in a teamwork-oriented environment.

    You will be required to travel to construction sites or client locations to ensure project compliance with our standards.


    Your Responsibilities:
    Manage a team of engineers and technicians and be responsible for overall operations of the mechanical department;
    Actively participate in decisions made by Groupe Alphard's management and contribute to the department's follow-ups;
    Take the lead in the organization's activities and plans and contribute to Groupe Alphard's development;
    Manage projects in a consulting environment;
    Facilitate the management and coordination of engineering for multidisciplinary projects;
    Ensure work compliance with budgets, schedules, estimates, and established procedures;
    Develop solutions and options for establishing concepts, make recommendations, and take significant decisions regarding technical aspects;
    Meet with clients for project implementation and execution;
    Contribute to defining scopes of work and service proposals, as well as multidisciplinary tendering processes;
    Collaborate in maintaining good business relations with our clients;
    Participate in securing new mandates.


    Your profile:
    ~ University degree in mechanical engineering;
    ~10 or more years of experience in an industrial environment;
    ~ Experience in team management;
    ~ Strong organizational skills, ability to manage priorities, and respect deadlines;
    ~ Good sense of initiative, making decisions independently when issues arise;
    ~ Bilingual:
    French and English.
