Silver Crescent Academy Children Center is a fully licensed childcare.


Education and Requirements:

• Fluent in English both oral and written communication
• MINIMUM 2 years experience in childcare post classification.
• Hold an Early Childhood Educator Classification level 1 or 2 in Nova Scotia
• Valid First Aid & CPR-C
• Clear Police Security Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Child Abuse registry

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement ageappropriate lesson plans and educational activities
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
• Provide individualized attention and support to each child's unique needs
• Monitor and assess children's progress, documenting observations and maintaining records
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
• Utilize technology for instructional purposes and maintain computerbased records
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning
• Implement appropriate behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior

Skills:

• Childcare experience, preferably in an early childhood education setting
• Strong understanding of child development principles and practices
• Proficient in computer operation for record keeping and instructional purposes
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
• Passion for educating young children and fostering their growth

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
