System/network Administrator - Lethbridge, Canada - Southland Trailer Corp.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our company's computer systems and networks.
You will work closely with other members of the IT team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our systems and networks and will be a key player in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain servers, and network equipment
- Monitor and troubleshoot system and network issues
- Perform regular software and security updates
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches
- Create and maintain documentation for systems and network infrastructure
- Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement new projects
- Provide technical support to employees
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Stay uptodate with the latest technologies and trends in the field of IT
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
- Experience with cloudbased infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
