Job Specific Information:


Should this temporary vacancy be filled by a regular full-time employee, seniority and benefits will continue in the normal manner and the regular employee will continue to maintain normal, full-time status for the duration of the appointment.

Job Description:

***:Under the general supervision of the Supervisor and the technical direction and guidance of the Revenue Analyst, is responsible for processing revenue records, invoicing and payment processing functions, and performs general clerical duties for the Community Services Department.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Prepares and processes daily deposits for revenue received in the general office.
  • Balances, and makes appropriate changes to daily cash summary sheets; verifies transmittal slips and credit card receipts.
  • Provides technical direction and guidance, training, process documentation and support to Departmental staff in relation to Perfect Mind software.
  • Prepares and processes invoices.
  • Prepares and processes refunds.
  • Prepares and processes payroll deduction revenue.
  • Prepares and maintains financial, statistical and donation records, reports and contracts.
  • Reconciles petty cash claims and distributes parking tokens.
  • Provides back up for Clerk Steno III position, including processing registrations.
  • Assists Revenue Analyst with reporting and yearend reconciliations.
  • Provides back up for Revenue Analyst and Box-Office Coordinator during peak periods and absences.
  • Provides backup for Payroll.
  • Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education/Experience:


  • Secondary school graduation with postsecondary courses in accounting; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Perfect Mind registration software or as a specialist with another similar software system

Skills/Abilities:


  • Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Demonstrated skill in communication, both written and oral is essential
  • Must be able to converse with the public in a courteous and tactful manner
  • Must be at a basic skill level in word processing and an intermediate skill level in spreadsheet software and must possess basic online data entry skills

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:


  • Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
