Position Description:

  • Provides obsolescence management support to the Prime Contractor by developing assessments, and recommendations for key platform system supportability (preventative, predictive and corrective planning).
  • Supports and optimize the spares procurement processes including reviewing and providing modernization inputs on concepts, approaches, and plans related to spares procurement (life cycle management approach).
  • Supports and optimize the warehousing processes for the Main warehouse and both coastal facilities.
  • Manage ILS issues, and report on risks and opportunities.
  • Track ILS improvements in a logical and systematic way over the life of the program to demonstrate continuous improvement using Key Performance Indicators that may be updated as required over the life of the contract.
  • Maintain the ILS Plan and deliver quarterly reports.
  • Establishes team objectives and ensures their Developing/managing of packaging, handling, storage, transportation data, spares/life cycle cost modelling and level of repair analysis.
  • Analyze electrooptical infrared sensor systems and associated support equipment, determining requirements for tools, test equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Write maintenance procedures.
  • Define maintenance strategies for support of the equipment.
  • Determine spare parts recommendations for customers, using sparing models.
  • Prepare spare parts provisioning data.
  • Support of new business proposals.
  • Interface with Engineering, Procurement, R&O and other disciplines on a daily basis.
  • Generate maintenance data deliverables (CDRLs / SDRLs).
  • Obsolescence management and action plans.
  • Lifeoftype buy analyses, shelf life management, PBL support, warranty management and spares assessments.
  • Supportability planning and assessments.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:


Education preferred for this role is a combination of experience and education encompassing EITHER a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Certification in Engineering Technology, in the fields of mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology.


  • Must have excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and highly effective interpersonal skills to carry out daily interactions with technical leaders, business executives, customers, teammates/partners and subcontractors.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Windchill Quality Solutions (or similar AR&M modelling), Omega PS (or similar LSA Record), Omega PS Analyzer (or similar LORA, LCC, spares modelling), Microsoft Office Suite
- all an asset.

  • A team player with the ability to work under pressure with mínimal supervision.
  • Possess the ability to have a security clearance of Enhanced Reliability.
