- Develop 3D product models for ship structures in ShipConstructor for both new construction and refit projects
- Interpret technical, detail design and construction drawings related to ship structures design
- Prepare specifications, sketches, requirements, and technical drawings
- Review production outputs to confirm accuracy of the 3D model and associated deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Support technical discussions for project reviews
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on qualifications of applicant.
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree; OR the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of marine industry experience, with demonstrated expertise in structural modeling and drafting
- Proficiency in ShipConstructor is required
- Familiarity with Aveva E3D or PDMS is considered an asset
- Experience working within a shipyard is an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; flexible, resourceful, and efficient
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work within a team environment to support project completion
- Thorough understanding of quality and continuous improvement
- Decision making skills and problem solving considered an asset
- Eligibility for enrollment into Controlled Goods Program
- Eligible Canadian Security Status (Secret or above)
